Your period is your monthly REPORT CARD. It’s our 5th VITAL SIGN. A PHYSICAL sign of your INTERNAL & OVERALL health. I NEVER payed attention to my period because I had NO IDEA WHY it mattered! It wasn’t even something I consciously thought about it! If I got my period okay I got it. If I didn’t, I didn’t.
I NEVER kept track of it. I NEVER thought I NEEDED to. I never knew ANYTHING about it because I was never TAUGHT anything about it!
If we’re having IRREGULAR cycles, PAINFUL periods, HEAVY periods, NO PERIODS, etc. THAT’S our body’s way of TELLING US there’s an UNDERLYING issue that NEEDS to be UNCOVERED & ADDRESSED!
The 1st step is PAYING ATTENTION to your period.
STEPS TO TAKE GOING FORWARD:
IF I knew that OVULATING was CRUCIAL to my OVERALL HEALTH, METABOLISM, THYROID, BONES, SKIN, HAIR, STRESS RESPONSE, I would’ve paid more attention & given more WEIGHT to the fact that I wasn’t getting a period at all for 2 full years! It wasn’t a PRIORITY because I wasn’t trying to get pregnant.
